About the Event
Get ready for a night of classic blues-rock as Man of the World: The Music of Peter Green comes to The Generator, Loughborough.
Peter Green was one of the finest guitarists of the 1960s British blues boom. He replaced Eric Clapton in John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, then founded Fleetwood Mac and wrote some of their best-loved songs.
Guitarist Remi Harris is joined by Dave Small on vocals and harmonica, Tom Moore on bass and Shane Dixon on drums. Together they cover music from right across Green’s career, including Man of the World, Black Magic Woman, Need Your Love So Bad, Albatross and The Green Manalishi (With The Two Prong Crown).
This isn’t a lookalike tribute act. The band treat the songs with real respect while bringing their own skill and character to them, and the shows regularly sell out across the UK.
“The standard of the playing was excellent throughout” (thejazzmann.com)
Expect searing Les Paul guitar, soulful vocals and timeless songs, all in the intimate setting of The Generator.
