Discover the remarkable story of the Alexandra Bedspread, a 1920s community textile created to help fund the construction of Loughborough's Carillon Tower.

Featuring more than 500 embroidered signatures — from local factory workers and shopkeepers to figures including Winston Churchill - the bedspread offers a fascinating snapshot of Loughborough's community in the years following the First World War.

Part of Loughborough Heritage Weekend, the exhibition also provides an opportunity to explore the history of The Generator building, from its origins as an electrical powerhouse to its life today as a community arts space.
