Ambition and Quality.

We believe that everyone is creative and we want to use the Generator as a vehicle to showcase a spectrum of creative outputs from the local area and beyond.

We are committed to developing a physical infrastructure to enable a new scale for creativity in the Charnwood area and beyond.   The legacy of the Generator will hopefully be a new level of ambition for this community and their relation to the arts.

There is a distinct lack of accessible physical infrastructure in the town to support the community's cultural offering. The Generator will address this shortage of space in a unique venue with solid infrastructure and equipment. This will enable local groups and artists to better deliver quality work in a new environment.

The quality of the venue will be unique in Loughborough, and the surrounding region, so that all users of the building, whether artists, participants or audiences, will have access to this space, built to enhance creativity, collaboration, and excellence in the arts.

We aim to utilise the unique space of the Generator to enable creatively ambitious work which wouldn't otherwise have a home within Loughborough and to present to a wide-ranging audience from the local community.

Our broad ambition is to raise the quality and impact of the arts in our community and beyond. We are driven by a commitment to excellence in every facet of what we do, from our artistic programming to our community engagement initiatives. We aim to set new standards locally for innovation and creativity ensuring that the arts continue to enrich lives, inspire creativity, and spark meaningful dialogue in our diverse and dynamic society.

We recognise that adaptability is at the core of dynamism. We embrace change as an opportunity for growth and innovation.

By remaining open to new ideas and challenges, we ensure that our cultural offerings and operations evolve in ways that resonate with our ever-changing world. We embrace dynamism as we invest in cutting-edge technologies across our operations. From audiovisual kit which will allow live streaming of national events from iconic venues and also the streaming of local events from the Generator.  We are also committed to starting the process of building a digital infrastructure, which will be used for production, distribution, exhibition - and reviewing and improving it periodically.

When completed, the Generator’s physical infrastructure will meet exceptional standards, which will enable high quality performances and events.  We are committed to delivering excellence in contemporary music across diverse genres, with a focus on advancing performance and participation.

We understand that effective leadership requires adaptability and innovation, balanced with reflection and a forward-looking approach.  To strengthen and diversify our board, we have a committed team of volunteers and an advisory board.

We continually strive for excellence, adapt to changing circumstances, and cultivate an inclusive and innovative environment that empowers our team to lead with creativity and responsiveness. This dynamic approach ensures that we remain a forward-thinking, artistically vibrant, and resilient contributor to the arts and cultural landscape.
